Just walking through the mall today and saw a Bitcoin ATM right in the middle of the shopping center! South Park Mall, NC. I’ve seen them on reddit but I couldn’t believe it. Almost teared up to see how far it’s come. I LOVE BITCOIN! 🚀

Door-to-door Bitcoin Cash marketing in shopping malls
Inspired by a new android app that shows merchants accepting BCH nearby, I thought of visiting merchants to motivate them to accept BCH. https://www.reddit.com/btc/comments/7nkf3w/bitcoin_cash_merchant_directory_android_app_now/?utm_source=reddit-android As you can see there in the screen shot only very few merchants in Tokyo are accepting Bitcoin Cash. That led me to the following idea: Near my house in Nagoya there is the "Osu shotengai (大須商店街)", the biggest traditional shopping mall here with hundreds of small shops that line a couple of small streets. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%8Csu As I have good experience from former times doing door to door sales visits to shops, I think that I could easily convince the kind of trendy shop owners in Osu to display "Bitcoin Cash accepted here" signs and help them to get started. To do that I first have to get an assortment of such BCH accepted signs to display on the shop window and next to the cash register. And also some information about which set-up I should recommend to be used by a typical merchant. (Just putting a bch wallet on a mobile phone (handy in Germany) or maybe some device that can be put next to the cash register. ) I am happy to visit the shops in my free time and post thereafter how successful my mini marketing campaign was. If so, we should think of organizing such visits to shops systematically and find ways to give support and additional incentives, maybe even by a kind of tipping after supplying a photo as proof that a BCH sign has been put up. I think it is a good idea to start such marketing efforts in that kind of shopping malls, because that way we can get a certain conzentration of "BCH accepted here" signs in a small area. To do such marketing now would be good timing, as Bitcoin awareness has reached mainstream, as here in Japan Bitcoin ads of exchanges (BitFlyer, CoinCheck, etc.) are appearing now on prime time television. edited: handy (cellphone, mobile phone)
